SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMMES

Mother and Child Mission Centre (K) since its inception has been in conjunction with partners offered scholarships to needy OVC’s (Orphaned Vulnerable Children) across Kenya without discrimination to these children on their tribe nor race.  We started empowering girl child education which encumented to boy child as we saw it fit for all children to receive education no matter their sex. 

Our major partner in scholarship was FACE Fund as Ms Annie was its founding member and she underwent the same challenges girls were going through in the United States hence provided the first scholarship award to our girls whom were both in rural and urban set up notwithstanding the challenges they were going through the first batch of our scholarship programmes were a success and this continued with more enrolling in the scholarship programmes to date.

We had to incorporate Information Technology Scholarship too within our head offices in Nairobi and this incurred major enrollment to less fortunate children receiving IT education.  The first IT scholarships were from within our surroundings and it increased to other parts of Nairobi area especially slums and OVCs.

Since inception of the scholarship programmes we have managed to offer more than 450 IT scholarships and 1,300 high school scholarships though this number had to increase as per registration we were not able to accommodate all our registries who needed these services from us.

With the current fiscal year 2018 – 2019 we have received an enormous request but we cannot afford to carter for all our scholarship request.  We intend to ascertain that we shall contain those who require these scholarship programmes no matter the time limit which may expire as per our calendar is concerned.

Currently we have received numerous admission requests which are over our limitation as per the learning units are adequately submissive to our intake.  We look forward for your donations too towards this project.
